This piece was an editorial illustration for an article called "The Upside of Being an Introvert." (Also: it's for sale here through Society6, along with a few other illustrations!) Here are two spot illustrations from the same assignment:
This is another piece for Junior Illustration, based on the song "America" by Paul Simon, particularly these lines:
"Kathy, I'm lost," I said, though I knew she was sleeping
"I'm empty and aching and I don't know why."
(some of my personal all-time favorite song lyrics!)
This was an in-class assignment. We put our names through a "Blues name generator" and then drew our blue personas! This is mine, Peg Leg Legs Davis.

ReplyDeleteHey I was wondering how you achieve the "flat" look in your art, every time I try in photoshop my edges look all wrong...
ReplyDeleteLovely artwork. What material do you use? Only digital drawing and all?
ReplyDeleteYour work is hella sexy. I'm a design and illustration student so I appreciate student work as well developed as yours. Keep it up.
